Prior to Sunday's rivalry game against the London Knights, Windsor Spitfires defenceman Carson Woodall presented a cheque for $31,000 to Play For A Cure founder Jeff Casey.
"Presenting a cheque that big for local cancer research is an amazing feeling," said the 18-year old. "It wasn't possible without the support of the Windsor Spitfires, Hogan's Printing, my family and all the support from everyone who bought one."

Woody's Hoodies was created to raise awareness and raise funds to donate to local cancer research, support and prevention through a collaboration with Casey. The cause was inspired by the strength and resilience of his two grandmothers: In memory of Nana O'Brien and in support of Nana Woodall who battled cancer.
The hoodies raised $25,000 at last year's Play For The Cure event and has secured another $41,000 since then. The funds will help the new triple negative breast cancer fresh tissue trial.
We are extremely fortunate to have people in our community like Carson Woodall who support our community and want to make it a better place and are interested in helping our patients have better outcomes and cure cancer." Casey told Powerplay Sports.
"At the start of Woody's Hoodies I never thought that it would get this big. Seeing people wearing them at games and many other places, it brings a smile to my face," Woodall said. "Very thankful for all the support and this is just the beginning."
