Windsor Clippers rolling into regular season finale

Updated: Jun 17, 2023

The Windsor Clippers are looking to close out the regular season with a win when they host Elora Saturday night at Forest Glade Arena. Windsor has won a season-high five straight and have moved up to third in the Western Conference with a 14-5 record.

Max Frattaroli is the team's leading scorer with 78 points in 12 games. That averages out to 6.5 points per game, the best in the OJBLL. "My secret to success has been my teammates opening me up with the ball and getting ope for shots to put the ball in the net." said Frattaroli.

Elora (16-3) beat Windsor at home May 11th 8-4 but the Clippers didn't have Frattaroli and Grady Holmes (35 goals, 77 points) in the lineup for that game.

The Clippers are 7-1 in their last eight and look strong heading into the playoffs. "I am very confident in our team going into playoffs." Frattaroli said. "We have a tight group and we all believe we can make it all the way."

This is why...

Powerplay Sports was born while on a trip to Italy in the summer of 2018. Walking through a charming pedestrian underpass reminded me of being in the tunnel at the University of Michigan in the early part of my career. That feeling led to thoughts of Windsor Lancers football camp opening in three weeks and all of the fall sports that weren't going to be covered because of cuts to local sports coverage by legacy media.

With the support of a loving wife and family, I decided to create Powerplay Sports as a passion project.

I've come across some great people who have helped capture the essence of our community throughout the years like Tony Techko, Tony Doucette, Scott Scantlebury, Dom Papa, Steve Bell, Will Hill, Jim Parker and Mary Caton to name a few.

Please spread the word and follow along here or on social media so we can continue having the priviledge of highlighting our athletes, our community.
