The St. Clair men's volleyball team made the most of the program's first ever home playoff game by dominating Durham 3-0. The match was over in less than an hour and fifteen minutes. "We were really really good. I don't know what else to say," said head coach Shawn Reaume.
The Saints won by scores of 25-14, 25-17 and 25-14. "We knew our serving pressure was going to get to them coz they really don't see that pressure over there (East Division)," said Reaume whose team dropped 11 aces on the Lords. "If we play like that I think we beat any team in the league. I feel amazing. That was awesome. That was a very efficient business-like win. Everybody played well."
Eric Glos was a force at the net with 14 kills, including a spirited match winner, to lead St. Clair who advance to the OCAA quarterfinals next weekend. "Every set I get I'm just trying to hit is as hard as I can I guess," Glos said. "We're playing really good as a team and hopefully we keep going. We definitely can't get cocky after that win. We definitely need to keep the foot on the gas and just keep going with our confidence here and bring it to our next playoff game."
The next game will be on the road at Centennial next Sunday after the Colts beat Mohawk 3-1 Saturday night.
