"We're ecstatic", WAVL preparing to return

Two years of uncertainty is giving way to optimism as WAVL president Shawn Lippert received a letter from the WECDSB outlining a potential return to the gym this fall, "As of today, about noon, we got the letter. We haven't received a letter from the public board or french board but usually they follow suit." said Lippert.

The letter outlines the catholic board's plan to support re-opening of community use of schools. Permits for outdoor rentals will become available May 15th. The board says it is aiming to welcome indoor community partners back indoors in October for the 2022/23 season.

The board also shared thanks to their community partners for the patience and understanding shown throughout the pandemic. More information regarding indoor rental permits is expected in July. Hear more from Lippert in the following video.
