Walters' hopes for 2025

Windsor Spitfires' head coach Greg Walters has one hope as he brings his team into the new year Thursday night at home against Guelph.

"Getting better every single day and see where we can get to," Walters told Powerplay Sports.

Windsor has the second best record in the OHL with 26 wins and 55 points and trail first-place London by four points after 36 games.

"Through all the success we're having, they'll have bad games, bad periods but they always respond," Walters said. "It's a credit to our leadership group and to the players in that room."

Sensing his team's fatigue after five straight days on the ice including back to back wins in the Soo, Walters gave his team Wednesday off after their 6-4 win over Flint on New Year's Eve day.

Guelph comes in with the second worst record in the league with ten wins and 23 points. Windsor has a 20-point lead over 2nd place Saginaw in the West Division.
