Villanova wins WEST title

The Villanova baseball team took another step towards their goal of being the best in the province. The Wildcats beat Niagara's A.N. Myer 4-3 at Lacasse Park in Tecumseh to win the OFSAA West championship.


"Incredible special group of men." said head coach Tom Beale.

Owen Findlay threw 76 pitches during his six inning on the mound. pitched six innings and al "Winning the game at home felt unreal." said Findlay. "The support we had from the community was something you can't describe and it gave all the boys a real boost of confidence."


Findlay says he felt comfortable on the mound after the defence made some "amazing plays".


The Wildcats advance to the OFSAA final being held in London next week. "Our team feels very confident heading into next weeks games. We have been playing for each other and we have been playing for our coach who puts his heart into this team and we are finally getting the chance to bring it home for him and bring it home for our school."
