Mazin Tiea has played ball with his brother but now the St. Clair College forward he gets to do it on the same team. "This is going to be the most memorable year and something I will always look back on," Tiea said about his younger brother Musa joining the Saints this fall. "This will feel like Lebron and his son playing together on the court. I just cannot wait to see what he does on the court."

Musa graduates from the Kennedy Prep Basketball program and brings an athletic 6'9 frame to the team. "I put a lot of work in to get to this moment," Tiea told Powerplay Sports. "I'm excited to take this next journey and play at the next level. I've been watching Mazin play the past two years and I think it'll be very entertaining to watch both of us play on the court."
Standing 6'7, Mazin is an All-Canadian players who helped the Saints win a bronze medal at the OCAA Provincial Championship last month. He won silver with St. Clair in 2024. Mazin led the league in blocks this past season (2.9 per game) and was named OCAA Defensive Player of the Year.
Co-head coach Matt Sykes can't wait to put the brothers on the court together. "Musa has the capability to swing out and play the perimeter on offense and will allow us as coaches to play him and Mazin together," Sykes explained. "We now have the opportunity to play a different style of basketball when needed with two bigs in the lineup."
Musa feels he and his brother will offer the Saints a height advantage the team can capitalize on. "Both of us would be very dominant on the floor due to our height and length with powerful blocks and rebounds."
