Salinitri heading to Italy

Anthony Salinitri has signed on to play hockey this season in Asiago, Italy. He'll suit up for HC Asiago of the ALPS league. "I moved because the circumstances of online school" said the 23-year old who will be pursue his education while playing pro hockey in Italy.


"I always wanted to play pro hockey and Asiago has offered me an opportunity to be part of a historic organization and a championship team" said Salinitri.


HC Asiago was founded in 1935 and has played in the ALPS league since 2016. The team went 23-6 last season losing in the final to Slovenia's HKO.


"I am extremely happy. It's gonna be a new experience and one that I look to make the best of".


Salinitri will be the second Windsorite to suit up for Asiago. Manny Butera played three games for the franchise during the 1992-1993 season.
