Prudhomme scores in game one loss

The Leamington Flyers showed the effects of a long layoff losing game one of their second round series against St. Mary's 2-1 Thursday night. "First period we came out a little bit sluggish." said defenceman Noah Prudhomme. " We took a little bit of time off there after the Strathroy series."

The Lincolns on the other hand are still fresh following a seven-game series against LaSalle. "We felt we were ready for this team." said Noah Vandenbrink who scored the game winner at 17:28 of their third on a redirection from the point.

Despite the layoff the Flyers outshot the Lincolns 40-26. Bryce Walcarius made 39 saves for St. Mary's while Ryan Polidori turned aside 24. Game two is Friday night at St. Mary's.

Game three is back in Leamington Sunday afternoon at 2:10.
