The build up has began for the OUA men's volleyball final between the Windsor Lancers and Queen's Golden Gaels. "It's the same as the last two weeks," Said head coach James Gravelle whose team beat Waterloo and York in straight sets in their first two matches of the OUA playoffs. "Today's training was a lot like the last two Mondays and our weekly plan will follow the same."

Gravelle says practice will begin to be opponent specific Tuesday as they ramp up to Friday's tilt at the Toldo Lancer Centre at 7pm.

One cool thing Gravelle did before playoffs was allow the team a moment to reflect on their accomplishments before trying to tackle the playoff sprint. Windsor finished 18-2, the program's best record in 40 years. The team clinched the top seed, also a first, which now presents them with an opportunity to earn the championship banner on home court, another first.

"Great job, let's reflect on that and then we moved on to the next one." Gravelle told Powerplay Sports. "It's just been one at a time all season."

The Lancers made it to the OUA final two years ago and lost the Forsyth Cup Championship in straight sets at McMaster. "It's been a decade of really hard work for our entire staff and really been a huge build up to this is what it feels like and so it feels great to have the chance to get to compete for the OUA championship on home court. Really looking forward to that challenge."
