Trevor Heslop backstopped the Lakeshore Canadiens to a 5-0 win over Wheatley to clinch their best of 7 Stobbs semi final four games to two. "Felt great. The boys were helping me out in the back end. There was a full team effort today." said Heslop who made 21 saves.
Trevor Larue scored a pair of goals to help kickstart an offense that had been silenced in back to back loses in games 4 and 5. "That's the effort we were looking for." said head coach Anthony Iaquinta. "They played hard. They played tough. they played smart.
The Sharks made a gallant effort to get back in the series outscoring the Canadiens 9-2 in wins in games 4 and 5. "At the end of the day they're the number one team in the league for a reason." said graduating captain Braydon Davis. "We gave it our best shot. The boys came out here for the OA's and did everything they could for us. I'm proud of them but obviously that's not the outcome that we want but the boys played their hardest and that's all I could ask for."
