Holy Names win. Redemption is theirs

The Holy Names sr. girls basketball team were locked in and took care of business against Sarnia St. Pat's in a rematch of last year's SWOSSA championship. They suffocated the Irish on their home court with a convincing 43-18 win. "We played good defence tonight just like we did the other night (in the WECSSAA final) against St. Anne," said Knights head coach Sean Culhane. "We defended so well, rebounded the ball really well, stayed ball tough so I'm really proud of the girls.

Jane Pozzi scored a game-high 15 points while Maysa Arabi pitched in eight. The Knights held their opponents to 12 first half points and only allowed six in the second.

They now advance to OFSAA in Brampton November 21st.
