There's a lot going on in the junior hockey loop. Here's the breakdown.
LaSalle beat Chatham Wednesday night to take a 2-1 series lead. The Vipers were without Kyle Green and Gage Evans as both were serving the first of a two-game suspension from game 2. Kyle Booker was also out of the lineup with academic duties to take care of. He's expected back Thursday night.
Here's Ryan Clark's game 3 winner.
The Leamington Flyers are hoping to take a commanding 3-0 series lead on Georgetown Thursday night at home. After a 6-2 blowout in the opener, the Flyers followed up with a tight 2-0 in game 2. "We know Georgetown is going to come in and play desperate," said head coach Dale Mitchell. We have to be ready to play our game structure and contain our emotions. We have to put ourselves in a good spot however we haven't won anything yet."

The Essex 73's look to take a 2-0 series lead over the Blenheim Blades in their PJHL semi-final Thursday night on the road. For the fourth straight game Essex head coach Tony Piroski is giving Wyatt Sloetjes the start between the pipes but is non-committal after that. "I don't see that ever happening," said Piroski who has Adrian McBride backing up and Cavan McCabe recovering from injury. "I'm guessing they (McBride and Sloetjes) will split the next two games after that,"
The Lakeshore Canadiens have a 2-0 series lead over the Sharks following their 3-2 win in Wheatley Wednesday. Issac Legood gave the Sharks a 2-1 second period lead at home in game 2. Julian Gignac and Aedan Sullivan replied before the end of the period and Boe Piroski closed the door from there making 33 saves for the win. Ethan Handley made 35 saves for Wheatley.
