Herman bows out to OFSAA finalist

The Herman sr. boys basketball team trended upwards during the first two games of the OFSAA AA tournament as Kimoni Morgan put up 42 and 32 points in each of the first two contests.


Facing the #3 seed St. Joan of Arc at the St. Clair Sportsplex Tuesday night Morgan fought through double teams to post 18 points. The Griffins trailed by as many as 25 points in the second half but made a furious comeback. They outscored the Mavericks 17-5 in the third and took a 62-61 lead late in the 4th. St. Joan of Arc scored the next five opints for a 66-62 win.


The Mavericks beat #2 seed Adam Scott Wednesday morning to advance to Wednesday night's final where they lost to top-seeded St. Francis 69-59.
