Girard gives Wildcats semi-final win

The U15B semi-final between the Windsor Wildcats and South Point Stars was a see-saw battle in a raucous Forest Glade Arena Monday night.

Madeline Zajac made a nice chip play off the near boards at the South Point blueline and sprung loose down the wing. She loaded up and let a wrist shot go that went far side top shelf to tie the game.

With a scramble in the neutral zone, Joey Girard picked up the puck and made a wide cut across the slot. Her wrist shot was deflected by a Stars' defender that deflected top shelf for the win.
