The Leamington Flyers are riding a 5-game win streak following a weekend sweep which has put Dale Mitchell's team within striking distance of Milton.

"For us that second spot is definitely a goal that we want to reach," Dale Mitchell

The Flyers trail Milton by two points (60-58) for second but the Menace have a game in hand. Collingwood is on an 8-game run and lead the West Division and the OJHL with 75 points.

"Credit to Collingwood. They're a really good hockey team. They put themselves in a good position." said Mitchell, whose team also went on a 5-game streak in late-October early-November.

Leamington has a pair of games Toronto (Thursday at home) and Georgetown (Saturday on the road) before hosting Milton February 1st. "In terms of results, those are always important," Mitchell said. "We wanna have home ice going into playoffs but at the same time making sure we're playing the right way too because I believe it's hard to flip a switch come playoffs.
