After riding high without a loss for 14 games the Flyers hit some turbulance and went winless in their final six games of the regular season.

"Obvsiouly you don’t want to end the season that way but our group is excited and ready to go for playoffs," said head coach Dale Mitchell whose team won the Sutherland Cup a year ago in the GOJHL.

The second season gets underway Friday night in Leamington as the Flyers open round one against the Georgetown Raiders who finished 6th in the West Conference, 11 points behind Leamington.

"We know our fans will be there to support us and we owe it to them to come our strong Friday." Mitchell said.

The Flyers had a strong debut season at the Jr. A level in the OJHL this season finishing with 34 wins and 76 points.

"We talked as a group, we looked at the big picture and have to give our group credit on a 3rd place finish and 4th in the whole league. If you asked me in September if we could have a Game 1 home game, I think we would all take it."
