Trailing 2-1 in the Stobbs Division final against Lakeshore, the Essex 73's set out on an Easter Sunday hunt for a win in game 4 at home.

After a scoreless first period, Essex capitalized on a 5-on-3 advantage early in the second as Seth Martineau's shot from the top of the left circle found the back of the net at 4:37.

With Lakeshore on the powerplay, Gabe Piccolo deked a Habs defender in the slot and found himself one on one with Canadiens goalie Boe Piroski. He went backhand five hole at 6:46 for 2-0 lead.

Julian Gignac cut the deficit in half at 16:02 of the third but Kale Couvillon hit the empty-netter to ice the game as Essex ties the series 2-2. Game 5 is Tuesday in Lakeshore.
