With their backs up against the wall the LaSalle Vipers did their best to avoid elimination in Game 4 of their Western Conference semi-final series against the Leamington Flyers.
Playing at home, the Vipers took a 2-0 first period lead on goals from Brady Hamlin and Cole Davis. In the second, Owen Holmes got they Flyers on the board with his 6th of the playoffs early but Carson Woodall re-established LaSalle's two-goal lead when the defenceman sprung himself loose for a breakway at 5:28.
Holmes closed the gap with his second midway through setting up the Connor MacPherson show in the third. C-Mac put up a natural hat trick leading the Flyers to a come from behind 5-3 win to clinch the best-of-seven series 4-0.
The St. Mary's Lincolns swept London in their semi-final series Tuesday night settng up a 1 vs 3 matchup for the Western Conference Final.
