With only three starts in Leamington's last ten games Altiman was traded to the King Rebellion.

"We're happy for Tre. He's been great for us all season," said Flyers general manager Justin Solcz. "He's proven he can be a starter in this league and moving to King is going to give him the opportunity to be a starter."

The Chatham, Ontario native takes over for Carter Bickle who had seven wins in 25 games with a 2.96 GAA for King this season. Erik Powers suited up for eight games in net for the Rebellion. "We discussed it as a group with him, his family and our coaching staff and I think we all agree it's a good opportunity for him." Solcz told Powerplay Sports.

A 20-year old from Montreal, Quebec, Kane comes to Leamington with 8 goals and 22 points in 29 games this season.

"He's a veteran player. He's had success in the league. He came from a good program in Trenton and King and he adds some grit to our lineup which is something that will really help us in the playoff stretch here."

This is why...

Powerplay Sports was born while on a trip to Italy in the summer of 2018. Walking through a charming pedestrian underpass reminded me of being in the tunnel at the University of Michigan in the early part of my career. That feeling led to thoughts of Windsor Lancers football camp opening in three weeks and all of the fall sports that weren't going to be covered because of cuts to local sports coverage by legacy media.

With the support of a loving wife and family, I decided to create Powerplay Sports as a passion project.

I've come across some great people who have helped capture the essence of our community throughout the years like Tony Techko, Tony Doucette, Scott Scantlebury, Dom Papa, Steve Bell, Will Hill, Jim Parker and Mary Caton to name a few.

Please spread the word and follow along here or on social media so we can continue having the priviledge of highlighting our athletes, our community.
